September Daybook

I am thinking about how much is involved in trying to get Medi-cal paperwork filled out for Mom. It is hard to get print outs when your printer is out of ink and you don't have the money to buy any more. I still have to get my daughter's paperwork completed too.
I am thankful that the Lord gave me a good brain. Without it, life would be so much more difficult.
In the office it is my busy Thursday. Can't get into details, but Thursday is my busiest day.
I am wearing a gray top with silver decorations and black pants. Token black clogs.

I am creating a database to catalog all the collectible game cards I have so that I can sell them off. I was blessed with a sale of 4 cards at about $130.00 ea. Thank you Lord for your provision.
I am going nowhere this weekend. My niece has a birthday so I might see if there is a birthday party this weekend, but as of now I have no idea.
I am wondering If I have anything this weekend. I am just not sure. Maybe we should do another garage sale.
I am still reading The Awakened by Jason Tesar, but I am very much struggling through it. Maybe it just isn't my kind of story. I am sure it is mostly background for the rest of the series, but I am feeling bogged down with details.
Jason Tesar's Awakened Series

I am hoping my daughter behaved herself at her sleepover. I am hoping for a better week at school next week.

I am looking forward to payday. I so need to get paid right now.
I am learning about the end times. I am amazed by how many different opinions there are about how it will all go down.

Around the house we are cataloging game cards, working on de-cluttering and trying to find some emotional balance.

I am pondering what my next move is in the long list of things I need to do.

One of my favorite things is my husband's cooking. He makes this BBQ sauce from BBQ sauce, salsa and teriyaki sauce. I told him it like eating crack because I can't get enough of it.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
1.Church tonight
2. Sorting cards and resting
3. Relaxing I hope

A peek into my day... My daughter lost another tooth. Pulled it out herself, brave girl.

August Daybook

What is for lunch today?

The problem is, I managed to get soy sauce all over the keyboard and my phone because I chose to open the packet without scissors. Learn from my mistake.

I am thinking about ways to come up with extra money to afford Obama's effect on my company's health insurance plan. My insurance will be increasing in cost from $60 a month to $310 a month. This is going to significantly impact my ability to pay bills and feed my household of 6.

I am thankful that the Lord is still providing. Still faithful even when I forget how good He is and whine. Yes, He is faithful in my weakness.

In the office things are just going so fast. A mile a minute in fact. I am not sure if I can keep up. I have a raging headache today, but I have to fight through it and keep smiling. However, I got called the "flower of someone's day" today, so I guess it can't be all bad. No, they weren't making a pass either.

I am wearing my favorite blue shirt with decorative beading and black pants and my favorite (only) pair of work clogs.

I am creating a new piece of cross-stitch. It is coming along quite nicely. Here is a picture of it.

I am going to go straight home and find a way to prepare my last lesson on self-centeredness for tonight's class. This has been the most difficult topic I have ever taught on. I am told they enjoy it though, so I must press on.

I am wondering about the last days. Did you know that there are various opinions on how it will happen? I didn't know there were so many different ideas. The problem is that each faction is giving their best (educated) guess based on the way they interpret the scriptures. Which, apparently also has different opinions. So I just pray and ask God to lead me in the truth.

I am reading The Awakened by Jason Tesar
Jason Tesar's Awakened Series

I am hoping for answered prayer with regard to my daughter's behavior. I would welcome any added prayers in this area.

I am looking forward to a positive result in my Mother's worker's comp case.

I am learning about the Shaklee Mindworks supplements and wondering if they will help my Mom with her memory issues.

Around the house we are sorting through items we want to sell this weekend at our yard sale.

I am pondering my own health and what my next step should be, which so far has been little.

One of my favorite things is elderberry jelly. I am going to go pick wild elderberries with some friends this weekend. I am determined to make the jelly this year.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
1. Potluck Birthday Party for my Step-Daughter
2. Yard Sale Saturday Morning
3. Picking Wild Elderberries

A peek into my day...

I am teaching my daughter how to cross-stitch.

Very Profound Statement!

April Daybook

Join me and many other lovely people over at the Simple Woman's Daybook.

In my cubicle world... The walls are changing. People are moving about. We hear banging with hammers and drills and electric screwdrivers. The dust bunny army is rising and the masks are nowhere to be found.

I am thinking... Tomorrow is tax day. I still don't have my taxes done. I am in real trouble here.

I am thankful... God's provisions. He is faithful even when I am not.

My lunch today... Cold fried chicken, pretzel thins and Gatorade.

I am wearing... Blue top with busy designs & copper and silver studs. Oh and black pants.

I am creating... I am getting things wrapped up on our Christmas play for this year. Now to submit to the "board" for cuts and changes.

Here is a picture from last year's play that I wrote, inspired by God.

I want to go... See my friend in Antioch for her birthday. She needs cheering up.

I am wondering... So many things I think my brain is smoking.

I am reading... Creatus by: Carmen DeSousa. I haven't actually started it yet, but it is next in my list of books.

I am hoping... for a miracle with my Mom's Worker's Comp settlement case in May and the Disability issues that have recently arisen.

I am learning... That I am not responsible for the other "adults" in the house who make bad choices.

Around the house... I am trying to sell everything I can to raise the money we are short. Some days work well and others, not so much. So far the Lord is providing. This is still true for April.

I am pondering... Whether I have time to do encouragement cards again.

A favorite quote for today... Sorry, I just don't have anything right now.

One of my favorite things... Santa Maria Style BBQ on every corner every weekend.

A few plans: Recovering from my sinus and ear infection. Taking better care of myself.

A peek into my day...  A picture of me and one of my brothers. It was siblings day on FB, so we took this picture. I need a tan. Hehehe.

My March Daybook

Join me and many other lovely people over at the Simple Woman's Daybook.

Outside my window... It is a dark night out. I don't have a picture this month.

I am thinking... How I can manage all of my responsibilities and my Mother's as well. Since she is losing her memory, I am having to take over a lot of her financial responsibilities.

I am thankful... for good friends and a close church family. One lovely lady brought me a new shirt today. I feel blessed.

In the kitchen... Dishes, dishes, dishes. Know what I mean?

I am wearing... T-Shirt and yoga pants. Not sure why I haven't removed my boots yet.

I am creating... I am still working on our Christmas play script for this year.

Here is a picture from last year's play that I wrote, inspired by God.

I am going... to see Jeff Dunham with my son for his 21st birthday. He is my son's favorite comedian.

I am wondering... What I should tackle next on my very long list of things to do.

I am reading... Luthiel's Song: The War of Mists

I am hoping... for a miracle with my daughter's behavior. I need some added prayer in case anyone is looking to add to their prayer list. Also, I am hoping all goes well with my Mother's surgery on the 28th.

I am learning... very hard lessons right now. I am seriously struggling with the ability to hold onto hope right now. I have to find a way to get back on track with my hope in the Lord where my daughter is concerned.

Around the house... I am trying to sell everything I can to raise the money we are short. Some days work well and others, not so much. So far the Lord is providing.

I am pondering... What the Lord has in store for me. Trying not to worry about it, but rather leave the worrying to Him.

A favorite quote for today...

"Be kind to unkind people, they need it most. No need to be their reflection."

One of my favorite things... I love snuggling with my kitties.

These two kitties just got done fighting. Now look at them.

A few plans: Church tomorrow night, gym on Thursday, Couple's meeting on Friday and hopefully a nice weekend where I am able to relax.

A peek into my day...

A Dim Sum Day ~ Little Pieces of Heaven

It's a Dim Sum kind of Day

Tito (Black) on the left and Leo (White) on the right. These two kitties can be counted on to camp out with me all day long when I am sick. They are my Yin and Yang when I am resting up.

My youngest gremlin. She is growing up so fast. She has a sweet smile, but a very wild spirit.

Pampered Chef Spring Launch in Santa Clara. Mrs. Church brings it home in her "Demo" as she sings her way to the top. I had a great time with "the girls".

My friend took this awesome picture at Pfeiffer Beach up Highway 1 on the coast of California. She said there was purple sand. I think I will have to visit this place.

Thanks for sharing a few lovely things with me this month.

My February Daybook

Outside my window...

It looks like it could rain. I wish it would.
I am thinking...

Whether I will get any time to myself this evening.
I am thankful...

For the trials, still. Praise God for the trials that will teach me and change me into something better.
In the kitchen...

The dishes, they need doing. And a chocolate frosted banana cake waiting to be eaten.
I am wearing...

A blue top and black swishy pants. Oh and shoes.
I am creating...

The Christmas play for this year. They want a script by May. Since they liked my script in 2013, they asked me for a sequel. Oh boy! I feel kinda stuck though, so I better start praying for direction now.

I am going...

To the gym tonight I hope. We have been so bad about it. I hate the idea of paying for a gym membership that we don't use. I am going to go, I am going to go...
I am wondering...

What bills need to be paid on my next payday. What the new products coming out for Pampered Chef are (We have our launch this Friday). When I am going to actually wash my car. How to help my family bring in some cash by doing odd jobs. What the diagnosis from my Mom's neurologist appointment will be. If I will ever get through the current books I am reading.
I am reading...

Luthiel's Song by Robert Marston Fanney
The Crucified Ones by Charles Newbold

I am hoping...

For stress reduction and more rain. We need rain so bad here on the Central Coast of California. I say bring on a deluge! Or... showers of blessings, I would take those too.
I am looking forward to...

The Pampered Chef Spring Launch this Saturday in Santa Clara, CA. I can't wait to get back together with my team mates, see the new products coming out March 1st and get refreshed to restart my business.
I am learning

Patience, every single day with my family. I am also learning that my Mom's health and metal abilities are worse off than I thought.
Around the house...

Not much has changed. We still need to clean it. Oh, but we got to replace a broken kitchen faucet this weekend. What an ordeal that was, but after 3 trips to Home Depot we finally got it done.
I am pondering...

How my relationship with God is today. How can I submit to His will better and what kinds of exciting changes this can bring into my life.
A favorite quote for today...

"I remembered all of these things, and I decided to instead write about the most urgent threat to the sanctity of marriage. Divorce." Matt Walsh
One of my favorite things...

HOT sugar cookies, right out of the oven! I am drooling just thinking about it.
A few plans for the rest of the week:

Gym tonight, church Wed. night, gym again Thurs. night and heading out to San Jose Friday night. Then... Pampered Chef Spring Launch on Saturday! Church on Sunday and a 94th birthday party Sunday night!
A peek into my day...

Work... nothing exciting.
